When your husband builds a brand rooted in adventure, intention, and supporting local creativity—and you happen to be a multi-passionate artist obsessed with self-expression—it’s only a matter of time before your worlds collide in the best possible way.
Yes, I’m married to the man behind Unalome Outfitters (hi Gus!). And yes, we share a life full of creativity, community, and a very energetic pup named Bobbi. But this collaboration isn’t just about being married—it’s about alignment. We both care deeply about supporting makers, embracing authenticity, and doing things a little differently.
So when Gus told me he wanted to start featuring local artisans on the site, I knew I had to be involved—and not just as a supportive spouse. As an artist. As a maker. As someone who believes in what Unalome stands for.
My biggest presence on the site right now is through my business Get Nailed by Rach—a collection of hand-painted, press-on nail sets that combine art, attitude, and a touch of punk rock glam. Each set is one-of-a-kind and made to celebrate individuality and self-expression. It’s wearable art with a little bit of bite.
Beyond nails, I also run Just Jones Studio, where I create watercolor animal portraits, playful pun-based art, and nature-inspired illustrations. A huge inspiration behind much of my work—especially my animal work—was our late pug, Winston. His personality still lives on in pieces like the Don’t Happy, Be Worry sweater (you can find it here). He reminds me why I create: to capture joy, character, and connection.
Collaborating with Unalome Outfitters means I get to bring all of that into a new space—one that champions creativity, uplifts local voices, and encourages people to show up fully as themselves. It’s not just about selling products. It’s about building something meaningful, together.
So whether you came here for the nails, the art, or the adventure—you’re in the right place. And I’m so glad you’re here.
